Jennifer McGrandle focuses her practice on a diverse range of employment law issues both contentious and non-contentious with a particular emphasis on discrimination law. Ms. McGrandle has extensive experience working on corporate led transactions, negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, and managing large, multi-jurisdictional redundancy and re-contracting projects. She also provides training to clients on a wide variety of topics and regularly speaks at client seminars. In 2013 and 2014, Super Lawyers selected Ms. McGrandle as a "Super Lawyer" in employment law.

Ms. McGrandle is a member of the ELA (Employment Lawyers’ Association) Pro Bono Committee and a regular volunteer for the Employment Tribunal Litigant in Person Support Scheme (ELIPS) at London Central Tribunal.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. McGrandle was a senior associate in the London employment group of another international law firm.

  • Acted for respondents in a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims, including doing the advocacy for preliminary hearings and other short hearings.
  • Acted for the respondents in a high profile sex discrimination claim brought against a City law firm by two female partners.
  • High Court litigation experience including acting for the world’s largest insurance broker in a bonus claim and claims for breaches of restrictive covenants and misuse of confidential information following a team move.
