Jennifer McGrandle

Jennifer McGrandle focuses her practice on a diverse range of employment law issues, both contentious and non-contentious, with a particular emphasis on discrimination law as well as advising on grievance processes and independent investigations. Ms. McGrandle has extensive experience negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, managing large, multi-jurisdictional redundancy and re-contracting projects and working on corporate led transactions, conducting privacy due diligence in M&A matters. She regularly acts for respondents in a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims, including doing the advocacy for preliminary hearings and other short hearings.

She is also a member of the Firm’s Global Privacy & Cybersecurity practice, advising on employment related data protection matters and routinely advises clients on insuring that innovative uses of personal data comply with European and UK privacy frameworks. Representative matters include:

• advising on how to manage data subject access requests, including how to conduct searches, assistance with the review and redaction process and dealing with any related complaints to the ICO;
• drafting and advising in relation to privacy notices for employees and job applicants;
• drafting and reviewing data protection and employee monitoring policies;
•  advising in relation to data breaches caused by and affecting employees in multiple jurisdictions and the obligation to report those; and
• ad hoc advice in relation to the processing of HR-related personal data and monitoring of employees.

She also provides training to clients on a wide variety of employment and privacy topics and regularly speaks at client seminars.
