Margaret Mortimer is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group, focusing her practice on representing corporations and their executives, directors and employees in government and internal investigations as well as complex commericial disputes. She represents clients in cases brought by federal and local agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.  Ms. Mortimer maintains an active pro bono practice, successfully representing plaintiffs at trial in the District of Kansas litigation challenging Kansas’ voter registration laws. Prior to litigation practice, Ms. Mortimer represented pharmaceutical, technology and telecommunication clients on various domestic and cross-border transactional and licensing matters. 

Ms. Mortimer was a Dechert summer associate in 2015. Prior to joining Dechert, she served as a law clerk in U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Judiciary Committee Office and was a student fellow at the Engelberg Center on Innovation Law & Policy.
