Marieke Minkkinen focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration and international dispute resolution. Her practice includes the setting aside and/or enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as the attachment and tracing of assets.

Ms. Minkkinen previously served as an associate at Dechert from 2009 to 2013, where she worked on commercial litigation and international arbitration matters. From 2013 to 2016, she then was resident in Yulchon’s Seoul office where she served as a foreign attorney in the international dispute resolution practice and represented Korean clients in various commercial or construction arbitration proceedings based in Asia (SIAC, KCAB and VIAC).

  • A major French logistics company in ICC arbitration against a French recycling company arising out of the termination of their commercial relationship.
  • A Chinese company in French commercial court proceedings against a French manufacturer arising out of a contract for the manufacturing and sale of electronic parts.
  • An Egyptian company in proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeal for the enforcement of an arbitral award rendered in Cairo.
  • A U.S. investment fund in various judicial proceedings before the French courts for the enforcement of a foreign judgment against a South American State.
  • A New Zealand manufacturer in a KCAB arbitration based in Seoul against a Korean manufacturer arising out of a contract for the sale of industrial equipment.
  • A Korean shipbuilding company in an arbitration under the Singapore International Arbitration Act against an Indian shipbuilding company arising out of a contract for the sale of industrial equipment.
  • A major Korean wholesale manufacturer in a KCAB arbitration based in Seoul against a Qatari subcontractor arising out of a construction project in Qatar.
