Dan O’Neil focuses his practice on compliance and regulatory matters affecting employee benefit plans. He is experienced in a wide-range of tax and benefits issues including day-to-day retirement plan compliance, ERISA fiduciary matters, prohibited transactions, executive compensation, plan design and drafting, and HIPAA issues.

Mr. O'Neil contributes to the Dechert Aggregator for Benefits & Compensation Developments, a tool that notifies subscribers of changes to law and regulations affecting employee benefits and executive compensation.

Previously Mr. O’Neil was an associate at another law firm, and served as an Assistant District Attorney at the District Attorney’s Office of the Middle District in Massachusetts. Mr. O’Neil also worked as a legal intern at the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, and at the First Amendment Center.
