
Eirene Psomas is an associate in Dechert’s financial restructuring group, advising distressed corporates, private equity funds, sponsors, bondholders, financial institutions and insolvency practitioners in domestic and cross-border restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings, distressed investing, formal restructuring and insolvency procedures.
Prior to joining Dechert, Eirene trained and practiced at two other international law firms.

- A group of lenders in connection with the enforcement of security to take control of an Indonesian telecommunications company.
- A group of lenders in connection with the restructuring of a Kazakhstan oil and gas exploration company.
- A group of lenders in connection with the restructuring of a Spanish producer and distributor of audio-visual content.
- An ad hoc group of convertible bondholders in respect of £375 million bonds in connection with the proposed financial restructuring of a large real estate investment trust. Subsequently acted for the successor trustee of the convertible bonds in the UK administration of a number of the entities within the group.
- Purchaser of a sports and leisure company as part of a pre-packaged administration sale.
- Various financial institutions and private equity sponsors on enforcement scenarios, liability management and contingency planning.
- Various boards of directors on directors’ duties and corporate governance matters arising out of distressed scenarios.
