Juliana Pondé Fonseca Ph.D.

Juliana Pondé Fonseca focuses her practice on international arbitration and litigation.

Dr. Pondé Fonseca was previously an associate professor of litigation and civil procedure in Curitiba, Brazil. Her work has been published in numerous Brazilian journals, as well as the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law’s book, Approaches to Procedural Law.

Prior to joining as an associate, Dr. Pondé Fonseca was a law clerk at Dechert and at another international arbitration firm in Paris.

  • A Middle-Eastern State company in a commercial dispute in the energy sector involving corruption.
  • A South-American State in an investment dispute under UNCITRAL rules regarding a mining project.
  • Three European construction companies in an investment arbitration under ICSID rules arising out of an infrastructure project.
