Lindsay E. Ray focuses her practice on litigation matters, specializing in complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, labor and employment disputes, securities litigation, and governmental investigations. Ms. Ray has represented clients in a variety of industries, including investment firms, entertainment and media companies, real estate developers, companies in the power generation industry, pharmaceutical companies, hedge funds, and individuals subject to governmental investigations and criminal prosecution.

Ms. Ray, as a summer associate, was as a member of the Dechert litigation team recognized as part of the Financial Times’ 2013 Top U.S. Innovative Law Firms for their “standout” work acting as lead counsel for an ad hoc group of creditors in connection with the highly contested cross-border restructuring of approximately US$1.6 billion in defaulted senior notes issued by Mexico's largest glass manufacturer, Vitro S.A.B. de C.V. As an associate, she was a member of the Dechert team “highly commended” by the Financial Times in 2014 for its representation of Argentina’s largest creditor—with claims for over US$3 billion—in multinational litigation and judgment enforcement proceedings. Dechert’s representation was subsequently awarded the Grand Prize for Global Dispute of the Year (2016) by The American Lawyer for the Argentina debt default litigation and settlement.

Additionally, Ms. Ray has dedicated a significant amount of time to pro bono matters, including the successful negotiation of a settlement on behalf of an artist with regard to the misuse of his Copyright-protected photographs and other work and the representation of an inmate of New York’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision in his Section 1983 prisoners’ rights case involving the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment violations caused by his four-and-a-half years spent in solitary confinement. Ms. Ray is also an active member of Dechert’s Service Committee and its Global Women’s Initiative.
