
Gina M. Stewart, Ph.D. is a patent agent in the patent counseling and prosecution practice of Dechert’s intellectual property group. Dr. Stewart has significant experience assisting clients with patent preparation and prosecution in both the U.S. and internationally. Dr. Stewart focuses her practice on the life sciences industries and has significant experience in the chemistry and polymer spaces.
Dr. Stewart earned her Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin with Professor Marye Anne Fox, where her doctoral work focused on the fundamentals of light harvesting for solar power. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Professor Joseph DeSimone, where her research focused on polymer synthesis.
Dr. Stewart’s practice is informed by her prior experience as an inventor and an entrepreneur.
