Joshua A. Smith focuses his practice on corporate and securities matters with an emphasis on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, fundraisings, public offerings, and reorganisations.

Mr. Smith trained at Dechert and was admitted as a solicitor in 2014. He recently undertook a secondment in the firm's Brussels office where he worked in the antitrust group.

  • Shareholders of Albéa S.A. on the US$1.5 billion sale of Albéa S.A. to PAI Partners.
  • American Express Global Business Travel in connection with its acquisition of 100% of the issued share capital of Banks Sadler Group Limited.
  • The shareholders of IT Lab Enterprises on its sale to ECI Partners. IT Lab is an award-winning provider of IT managed and technology related services operating in 12 sectors across the UK and, via its global partners, 13 countries across the world. ECI is the UK's leading growth-focused private equity firm.
  • American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) in connection with its acquisition of Klee Data System (KDS), a global provider of integrated travel technology.
  • M1 Fashion and L Capital Asia on the acquisition of the Pepe Jeans group (including the Hackett brand), a Spanish headquartered international group of companies operating in the fashion industry, from management and a group of private equity shareholders.
  • Hunt Companies Inc, a leading U.S. real estate company active in public-private partnership initiatives, on the acquisition of a 50% economic interest in the Amber Infrastructure Group.
  • Safeland Plc, an AIM listed company specialising in property trading, refurbishment, development and investment, on the demerger of its interest in the Safestay luxury hostel business and on the AIM flotation of Safestay Plc.
  • AIM-listed ACM Shipping Group plc in connection with its £150 million recommended merger with Braemar Shipping Services plc (a company listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange) effected by way of Scheme of Arrangement.
