Jillian Taylor focuses her practice on commercial litigation and class action defense.  She has litigated complex cases through all stages of litigation, from early dispositive motions to trial.  Ms. Taylor also represents clients conducting internal investigations.  She has litigation experience in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, health care, consumer products, and banking.

Ms. Taylor also maintains an active pro bono practice, leading a team of attorneys in advising 100+ pro bono clients of their right to clear their records under Pennsylvania’s Clean Slate Law, the first of its kind in the United States.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Taylor served as a law clerk to the Honorable Cynthia M. Rufe of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Products Liability Litigation 

  • Representation of a major medical device company in multi-jurisdictional mass tort litigation and several state litigations involving hernia mesh products. 
  • Advised multinational technology company about its disclosure obligations and potential liability in connection with the use of third-party parts in its consumer electronics products. 

Consumer and Class Action Litigation

  • Representation of large global banking institution in several consumer lawsuits alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) in federal court and arbitration. 
  •  Representation of national furniture and electronics rent-to-own company in class action appeal. 
  • Representation of officers and directors of global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials in a shareholder derivative class action suit alleging securities violations.
  • Representation of a coalition of businesses as amici curiae in an appeal before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court involving the state’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (UTPCPL).
