Stefanie A. Tubbs focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation with a particular concentration in pharmaceutical product liability and mass tort matters. She represents major pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and manufacturing companies in state and federal court litigation, including motion practice, discovery, expert work, and appeals. She also has experience in civil RICO, healthcare fraud, trust, and labor and employment litigation.
Ms. Tubbs maintains an active pro bono practice focused on prisoners' civil rights litigation. She has obtained a multi-million dollar settlement for a client who was wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years. She also represents a death row inmate in federal habeas corpus proceedings and works on cases involving prisoners’ innocence claims and commutation applications.
Ms. Tubbs is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was a finalist in the Ames Moot Court Competition and served as vice president of the Harvard Mediation Program and a teaching assistant for Harvard Law School's Negotiation Workshop. She joined Dechert as a summer associate in 2016. She was previously a Law Clerk at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Tubbs worked at the U.S. Department of State and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in central Ukraine.
