Stefanie A. Tubbs focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation with a particular concentration in pharmaceutical product liability and mass tort matters. She has experience representing a major pharmaceutical company in a multi-jurisdictional mass tort action and coordinated state court proceeding involving claims of personal injury and consumer fraud. She also represents a major insurance company in federal court proceedings involving various fraud claims.

Ms. Tubbs maintains an active pro bono practice focused on prisoners’ civil rights litigation. She currently represents an individual who was wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years. She also works on a team representing a death row inmate in federal habeas corpus proceedings. As a summer associate at Dechert, she helped to achieve the resettlement of a Gauntanamo Bay detainee. 

Ms. Tubbs is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was a finalist in the Ames Moot Court Competition and served as vice president of the Harvard Mediation Program and a teaching assistant for Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Workshop. She joined Dechert as a summer associate in 2016. She was previously a Law Clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Tubbs worked at the U.S. Department of State and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in central Ukraine.
