Emma Zarb focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law including contentious, advisory and transactional matters. Ms. Zarb has experience drafting and negotiating employment contracts, consultancy agreements and settlement agreements as well as staff handbooks and policies. She also advises on data protection and employee matters. She also has extensive experience conducting and resolving employment litigation in both the employment tribunal and the High Court. Furthermore, Ms. Zarb's transactional experience includes advising on all aspects of corporate and commercial transactions including the implications of TUPE. Ms Zarb also has experience of advising on the employment aspects in insolvency situations.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Zarb was an employment associate at a mid-sized international law firm in London.

  • Handled a variety of employment tribunal claims predominantly relating to unfair dismissal, discrimination and/or whistleblowing for a range of respondent clients.
  • Handled High Court litigation and pre-action procedures to assist clients with the protection of their confidential information.
  • Advised on a number of corporate transactions including the employment aspects for Wyndham Worldwide Corporation on the sale of their European Rentals business to Platinum Equity.
  • Advised one of the “Big Four” accountancy firms in relation to employment issues which arose while trading companies in administration and provided ad hoc advice on employment/insolvency law issues.
