Jana Zupikova focuses her practice on structured finance matters including securitisations, CLOs, derivatives and repo transactions, and all related regulatory developments. Ms. Zupikova represents a broad range of international financial institutions, including major asset managers and funds. She advises asset managers in the EU and the US on structuring their businesses and transactions to comply with the EU risk retention rules and has been directly involved in various MiFID II initiatives.

Ms. Zupikova has significant experience with emerging markets and has represented global financial institutions, international corporations, and sovereigns. She has worked on several groundbreaking public securitizations (asset-backed and future flow) by commercial bank originators in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Greece. 

Ms. Zupikova has been named a "Rising Star” in the area of Structured Products and Securitisation in the 2020 edition of Legal 500 UK. She has also been named a “Rising Star” by the IFLR1000 (2020) in the area of Capital Markets: Structured Finance and Securitisation.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Zupikova served as an associate in the London, Paris and New York offices of White & Case. She also completed long-term secondments in the New York headquarters of two top tier global investment banks, where she worked with leadership on implementation of regulatory reform under Title VII (Derivatives) of Dodd-Frank Act.
