Matthew J. Armstrong

Matthew J. Armstrong focuses his practice on real estate, structured finance and securitization matters.

Mr. Armstrong represents loan sellers, issuers and underwriters in the issuance and sale of asset-backed securities, with a focus on commercial and multifamily mortgage-backed securities. In addition, he represents financial institutions in buying, selling and financing mortgage loans, loan participations, servicing rights and other financial assets. He also represents lenders in establishing servicing, correspondent lending and repurchase facilities for mortgage loans.

Mr. Armstrong serves as a producer and regular contributor to Dechert 4 Real, a commercial real estate finance podcast.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Armstrong was an associate in the capital markets group of another large international law firm.
