Direct lending funds continue to experience dramatic growth, as investors reallocate capital away from highly-regulated banks and other traditional lenders. In addition to historic regulatory pressure on bank balance sheets, additional factors behind this growth include regional bank consolidation and on-going limited access for private companies to the capital markets.
