An introductory overview of the SEC’s proposal to mandate swing pricing, require a “hard close” and substantially amend the liquidity rule. In this 30-minute webinar, Dechert partners Allison Fumai, Mark Perlow, Aaron Withrow, and Brenden Carroll summarized the proposals’ key features and offered initial observations. If adopted as proposed, the rule amendments would fundamentally change core aspects of the open-end fund product and have a substantial impact on fund management and certain investment strategies. The SEC’s comment period is likely to extend through early-to-mid January 2023.
