CFPB Issues Rule Prohibiting Financial Services Firms from Preventing Consumers from Participating in Class Action Lawsuits

The CFPB has issued a controversial rule that prohibits providers of consumer financial services from contractually preventing consumers from participating in class action law suits against the provider. It appears likely that the rule will be subject to a challenge under the Congressional Review Act.
