Nnamdi E. Edokobi, Ph.D

Nnamdi E. Edokobi, Ph.D. is a registered patent agent in Dechert’s patent counseling and prosecution practice of Dechert’s intellectual property group. Dr. Edokobi focuses his practice on the life sciences and biotechnology industries. He has experience assisting clients with preparation and prosecution of patent applications, as well as freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses.

Prior to joining Dechert, Dr. Edokobi worked as a patent agent at a Boston-based law firm. Before entering the legal field, he earned his Ph.D. at The University of Michigan, where his doctoral work focused on neuro-cardiac mechanisms of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). His work investigated neuronal and cardiac function, through the use of molecular, biochemical, and electrophysiological approaches, in animal and stem cell models of developmental pediatric epilepsy.
