Elena Kamenir is an associate in Dechert’s antitrust group. Ms. Kamenir represents clients on a variety of merger control, antitrust investigations, and private litigation matters across key industries, including technology, transportation, and healthcare. Ms. Kamenir regularly represents clients before the Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and state authorities in connection with these matters. Ms. Kamenir also advises on potential antitrust issues pertaining to the licensing of standards-essential patents.

  • Microsoft in its $7.5 billion acquisition of GitHub, a code repository service.
  • A leading online marketplace for heavy equipment and other durable assets in its $758.5 million sale to an industrial equipment auctioneer.
  • A leading networking company in its $610 million acquisition of a software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) vendor.
  • Sonos in its role as an interested party in the Department of Justice’s antitrust lawsuit against Google.
  • A logistics and delivery company in an antitrust suit over air cargo surcharges in DPWNHoldings (USA), Inc v. United Airlines, Inc.
  • A technology group in the European Commission’s probe into the licensing terms of Alliance for Open Media’s AV1 video codec standard.
  • Advocated for client policy positions and submitted comments to antitrust authorities on issues pertaining to the licensing of standards-essential patents.
