Christopher McKeon

Christopher McKeon focuses his practice on litigation with an emphasis on product liability and mass torts matters. Mr. McKeon possesses experience in all aspects of complex litigation including class actions, Multi-District Litigation, and coordinated state proceedings. Furthermore, Mr. McKeon has handled an abundance of complex discovery matters, dispositive motions, and nuanced legal research issues. Specifically, Mr. McKeon has helped developed arguments for case dismissal on Communications Decency Act’s section 230 grounds. Mr. McKeon has also aided with several assignments and articles regarding social media, new laws regulating the internet, and recent Supreme Court decisions construing section 230.

He also maintains an active pro bono practice. In his pro-bono practice, Mr. McKeon has aided with election integrity efforts, helped indigent immigrants in removal proceedings, and conducted in-depth research for women’s rights groups.

Mr. McKeon is a regular contributor to the product liability and mass torts group’s newsletter, Dechert Re:Torts.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. McKeon earned his juris doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2022, where he was an editorial board member on the Journal of Criminal Law. While in law school, Mr. McKeon was a Director of the Berkeley Law Anti-Trafficking Program. As a Director, Mr. McKeon coordinated with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center on numerous projects, such as practice advisories, legal guides, and other resources.
