Thibault Meiers advises businesses on labor law matters concerning notably mergers and acquisitions, disputes with employees and staff representatives, reorganisations as well as difficult issues in the management of human resources.

Alongside other Dechert teams he provides the necessary assistance on all steps of mergers and acquisitions transactions from the audit and the negotiation to the implementation, principally in the finance, insurance, new technologies, life sciences, services and agrifood sectors.

Mr. Meiers has significant experience in representing employers in court, as well as in alternative dispute resolution procedures. He regularly acts before French civil and administrative courts, particularly in multi-plaintiff lawsuits, notably in restructuring processes or after plant closures. He is often involved in litigations involving unions or other employee representative bodies including on employee representatives’ elections or appointments, resort to external expert advisors, strikes, suspension of restructuring process, or discrimination and harassment claims.

Mr. Meiers advises French companies and foreign groups located on French territory on a daily basis on both individual and collective employment relations in order to assist them in developing a more reliable system of human resources management while keeping in mind the particularities of flexible, innovative international organizations.

Mr. Meiers is recognized as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 EMEA 2024.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Meiers served as a labor and employment associate in a French law firm as well as an international law firm.
