Benjamin J.G. Ruano

Benjamin J.G. Ruano is an associate in Dechert’s financial services group. Mr. Ruano represents and advises registered investment companies, including open-end and closed-end funds, business development companies, their investment advisers, and boards of directors on regulatory, operational, transactional, governance, and compliance matters. He also assists with the formation and registration of new investment funds, including investment funds that offer public investors entry into private markets and alternative investments.

Prior to law school, Mr. Ruano worked for a major asset manager’s distribution arm in both internal and external sales roles and, during that time, was a FINRA-registered broker representative and registered investment adviser representative.
