Samuel Scarritt-Selman

Samuel Scarritt-Selman focuses his practice on financial services, with a focus on U.S. registered investment companies, including mutual funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds, and their investment advisers on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance and business matters.

Mr. Scarritt-Selman joined Dechert as a summer associate in 2016. Previously he was an intern at the New York Attorney General’s Office in the Investor Protection Bureau. During law school, he was a Student Attorney at the University of Michigan Law School Federal Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he argued before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He also served as Executive Notes Editor for the Michigan Business and Entrepreneurial Law Review, as a Research Assistant for the Center for Finance, Law, and Policy, and as a Teaching Assistant for an Introduction to Business Law course at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business
