Jonathan R. Stott

Jonathan Stott, Managing Partner of Dechert’s San Francisco office, is a partner in Dechert’s corporate and securities practice. Mr. Stott represents private equity sponsors, alternative asset managers and operating companies in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-out transactions, growth and structured equity investments, joint ventures and other transformative capital events. His experience extends across a wide range of industry sectors, including aerospace, building products, consumer brands and products, financial services, food products, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, software and technology.

In particular, Mr. Stott has extensive experience counseling private equity sponsors, including Blackstone, KKR, Cerberus Capital Management, Centerbridge Partners, Graham Partners and others, as well as their portfolio companies.

Mr. Stott has been recognized as a Rising Star for M&A and private equity in the IFLR1000.

  • Cerberus Capital Management in its acquisition of Spring EQ, a leading provider of home equity financing solutions; its strategic investment in Lighthouse Autism Center, a leading provider of center-based autism behavioral health services for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder; and acquisitions by Worldwide Flight Services.
  • KKR in its successful acquisition of Industrial Physics, a leading manufacturer of testing and measurements instruments.
  • KKR in its take-private acquisition of mdf commerce, a SaaS leader in digital commerce technologies.
  • Blackstone Tactical Opportunities in various transactions, including the sale of Diamonds Direct USA to Signet Jewelers, the world's largest retailer of diamond jewelry.
