Ritchie Bros. Secures Unconditional DOJ Antitrust Clearance in $758.5 Million IronPlanet Acquisition

Dechert LLP guided Ritchie Bros.®, the world's largest used industrial equipment auctioneer (NYSE & TSX: RBA), in securing unconditional antitrust clearance from the United States Department of Justice for its US$758.5M acquisition of IronPlanet®, a leading online marketplace for heavy equipment and other durable assets. Dechert developed the antitrust strategy for this historic acquisition, which is expected to transform the company and industry through complementary brands, innovative digital technology, product offerings in multiple channels, and expanded global reach.
