Laurent Faugerolas focuses his practice on corporate finance matters, with an emphasis on public and private M&A, takeover bids and international capital markets, most notably equity capital markets. Mr. Faugerolas has advised on numerous IPOs and dual listings on NYSE Euronext and has closed some of the largest and most significant M&A transactions in and outside France. Mr. Faugerolas is a litigator on corporate and securities matters and he has extensive experience pleading for enforcement before the Courts and Autorité des Marchés Financiers. He is also active in matters pertaining to arbitration. In addition to the automotive and energy sectors, he also advises clients on a range of other areas, including life sciences, financial services and technology.

Mr. Faugerolas is recognized among the leading lawyers in France by Best Lawyers 2018 in Mergers and Acquisitions Law. He has also been recognized by Chambers Global as a leading lawyer in corporate/M&A and equity capital markets in France. According to Legal 500 Paris he is “a highly qualified lawyer”.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Faugerolas served as a corporate finance consultant at his own boutique firm, which handled matters regarding mergers and acquisitions. He has advised the CEOs and CFOs of French CAC 40 and SBF 120 corporations in relation to sensitive, confidential and complex missions, and has represented hedge funds with regard to strategic and corporate governance assignments. Mr. Faugerolas’ previous work also includes working as a partner at various prestigious Wall Street law firms, at one of which, he served as co-managing partner of the Paris office and a member of the worldwide Business Committee.
