Mark Evans practices in the area of corporate law, with particular emphasis on private equity, fund acquisitions, restructuring, consensual work-outs, joint ventures, and public M&A.

Mr. Evans is recommended for private equity transactions in The Legal 500 UK, 2018 and 2017.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Evans served as a senior associate at White & Case. His previous experience also includes serving as an associate at Kirkland & Ellis and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

  • Spark Advisory Partners on its £30 million public takeover bid by Redmile Group, LLC for Redx Pharma PLC, a UK-based publicly listed biotechnology company.
  • Cerberus Capital Management on the sale of Covis Pharma to Apollo Global Management.
  • ICTS International N.V. and ABC Technologies B.V. on (i) a US$60 million equity investment by an affiliate of TPG Global into ABC, a subsidiary of ICTS and the owner of Au10tix Limited, a leader in the ID documentation and know-your-customer on-boarding automation software industry and (ii) a further US$20 million equity investment by Oak HC/FT into ABC and related shareholder agreements. The transactions valued Au10tix at US$280 million.
  • M1 Cement Holding Limited in connection with the unwinding of its JV with Mittal and subsequent sale of its shares in Breedon Group plc, a leading UK construction materials group, raising gross proceeds of £82.4 million.
  • GIC in the proposed US$27 billion sale of Refinitiv by a consortium (consisting of Blackstone, an affiliate of GIC, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Thomson Reuters) to London Stock Exchange Group plc.
  • Ares Management Limited and National Westminster Bank plc on the provision of a financing package for the MBO of AgriBriefing (a Horizon Capital Investment).
  • One Equity Partners on the acquisition of the MERA group, a custom software developments services provider.
  • Further Global, a US private equity firm that makes investments in businesses within the financial services industry, on its successful £100 million take private of GBGI, the London listed holding company for the "The Global Benefits Group" which provides international benefits insurance globally through various subsidiary companies.
  • Ares Management Limited on the provision of a senior, PIK and equity financing package to refinance the Daisy Group’s existing financing arrangements and fund the buyout of certain investors in the Daisy Group.
