David M. Lee, Ph.D. is a patent agent in the Boston office of Dechert’s intellectual property group. Dr. Lee has experience assisting clients with patent preparation, domestic and foreign patent prosecution, and due diligence, patentability, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
Dr. Lee focuses his practice on the life sciences and biotechnology industries, with significant experience in therapeutic antibodies and fusion proteins, gene editing technologies, healthcare diagnostics, and agricultural biotechnology.
Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in genetics and molecular biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he researched epigenetic gene expression regulation mediated by long noncoding RNAs.
Prior to joining Dechert, Dr. Lee worked as a patent agent in the Raleigh, NC office of another international law firm.
