Steven Swick, Ph.D. is a patent agent with a broad research background spanning many areas of chemistry and biology.
Prior to joining Dechert, Dr. Swick was an NIH NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University developing small-molecule male contraceptive drugs and investigating the biological mechanism underlying sperm maturation. For his doctoral work at Northwestern University, Dr. Swick synthesized small-molecule and polymeric organic semiconductors and evaluated their performance in thin-film photovoltaic devices. He also has experience in natural product total synthesis through his master’s research at Yale University and as an undergraduate researcher at Western Washington University.
Dr. Swick’s work has been published numerous top journals, including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Advanced Energy Materials.
