As assistant general counsel, Sarah L. Wyatt works closely with Dechert’s general counsel and the firm’s attorneys and personnel to create and implement risk management and compliance procedures, resolve conflicts of interest, advise on issues involving firm policies and internal controls, handle professional responsibility matters, and draft and negotiate commercial contracts and policies.

  • Representing former officers and directors of Advanta Corp., a business credit card issuer, in securities class actions.Won a verdict at trial for a pro bono client alleging constitutional violations.
  • Represented Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns in Pennsylvania state fraud based litigation arising out of the collapse of American Business Financial Services, Inc., a mortgage company.
  • Represented a major pharmaceutical company in a nationwide federal civil and criminal government investigation of the company’s sales and marketing practices, including issues relating to off-label promotion and alleged violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Represented a payment processing company in a federal civil mail fraud injunction action.
