Los Angeles-based Dechert LLP partner Jay Bhimani, co-chair of the firm’s product liability and mass torts practice, has been named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by ALM’s The Recorder in its California Legal Awards 2025. The awards celebrate the lawyers and law firms driving the dynamic legal landscape in California.
Mr. Bhimani, who also serves as managing partner of Dechert’s Los Angeles office, counsels clients on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, with a focus on product liability and mass torts. He has served as trial counsel in numerous high-stakes matters in which the claimed damages were in the hundreds of millions of dollars, including the largest federal multi-district litigation in history.
Mr. Bhimani’s trial work has earned accolades such as the Daily Journal’s “Top Verdicts” and Law360’s “Top Product Liability Cases” and has featured in The American Lawyer’s “Litigator of the Week” column. He also has substantial experience in securities litigation, including the largest private insider trading action in history.
