Hayoung Park

Hayoung Park is an associate in Dechert’s Trials, Investigations, and Securities group. Ms. Park represents clients in complex commercial disputes before federal and state courts, at both the trial and appellate levels, and in commercial arbitrations. She has also assisted clients in internal investigations and government investigations.

Ms. Park’s experience includes representing corporations and their  officers and directors in litigation involving shareholder derivative claims, board mismanagement, M&A disputes, breach of contract, and related wrongdoing. She has extensive experience in several aspects of litigation in both state and federal court, including drafting dispositive motions that resulted in favorable outcomes for clients, as well as preparing for and assisting with trial.

In her pro bono practice, Ms. Park’s representation includes an inmate of New York’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision in his Section 1983 prisoners’ rights case involving Eighth Amendment violations and Liberian immigrants challenging the Trump Administration’s effort to deport them from the United States.

Ms. Park joined Dechert as a Dechert summer associate in 2016. She previously interned at an international law firm in South Korea. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Park worked for the Korean National Commission for UNESCO where she counseled government ministries and organizations in connection with matters involving preservation and restitution of cultural heritage.
