Dechert Lawyers Join LCLD Programs

Three Dechert lawyers will participate in programs run by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), which seeks to diversify law firms and prepare candidates for leadership positions.
Los Angeles-based partner Andrew Wong (litigation) is in the council's Fellows Program. The program is designed to connect high-potential lawyers from preeminent organizations for a year-long professional development series that focuses on leadership and relationship building. Wong is also the Chair of Dechert’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Philadelphia-based associate Andy Lau (global tax) and New York-based associate Nadeea Zakaria (financial services) are in the council's Pathfinder Program. The program is designed to connect high-potential lawyers from preeminent organizations for a six- to seven-month professional development series that focuses on foundational leadership skills, professional networks and relationship building skills, and career development strategies.
Founded in 2009, LCLD includes more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. Dechert joined the council in 2017. Past Dechert participants include Fellow Angela Liu (litigation partner, Chicago) and Pathfinders Fatima Mohammed (global finance associate, Philadelphia) and Amanda Rios (litigation associate, New York).
