Dechert Named One of Fortune’s “2020 Best Workplaces in New York”
Great Place to Work and Fortune have honored Dechert as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces in New York. This highly competitive ranking considered nearly 45,000 employee surveys from hundreds of businesses, across all industries, with operations in metro New York City or New York State. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of people’s work experience, including trust, respect, fairness and camaraderie among team members. Rankings are based on employee feedback and reward companies that best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.
In its listing, Fortune quoted an anonymous comment from one of Dechert’s people: “We have great leadership - they are open, kind hearted, and committed to progress, transparency, and community. That flows down and there is a genuine warmth and welcoming nature to the firm.”

The ranking was based on our 2019 survey, in which 87 percent of Dechert employees said the firm is a great place to work, compared to 59 percent of employees at a typical U.S.-based company. Results of this year’s survey, which was conducted last month, have not yet been released.
The Best Workplaces in New York is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations. Dechert was also ranked as a “Best Workplace for Consulting & Professional Services in the U.S.” by Great Place to Work earlier this year.
