The American Lawyer Ranks Dechert #1 for International Pro Bono Work Again

For the fifth time, Dechert LLP has been ranked by The American Lawyer as the leading law firm for international pro bono work.
Each year, the publication produces a Pro Bono Scorecard that ranks firms in the AmLaw 200 for pro bono work carried out by lawyers based outside the United States. Dechert has been ranked in the top two spots for international work for six consecutive years, five of them in the #1 spot.
The publication also produces a ranking for pro bono work carried out by U.S.-based lawyers. Dechert was ranked in the #7 spot in 2021.
Worldwide, Dechert lawyers dedicated more than 105,000 hours to pro bono work in 2020, equivalent to 7 percent of billable hours.
Directing much of their efforts to those most threatened by the global pandemic, Dechert lawyers protected women’s reproductive rights, kept vulnerable prisoners and immigrant detainees safe from infection, and mobilized across six U.S. states to protect the right to vote safely for all U.S. citizens.
