Financial Times Commends Dechert Twice for Innovation in Europe

October 14, 2022

Two Dechert LLP teams have been recognized for innovation and commended by the Financial Times in this year’s FT Innovative Lawyers Awards for Europe. Teams from the firm’s financial restructuring and transactional life sciences groups were recognized in the following categories:

COMMENDED for “Creating new standards” – A financial restructuring team led by London-based partners Solomon Noh and Alastair Goldrein represented an ad hoc group of bondholders in the restructuring of DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private power producer, creating a template for the cross-border recognition of UK schemes of arrangement in the post-Brexit era.

COMMENDED for “Overcoming barriers to investment and finance” – A transatlantic corporate life sciences team led by David Rosenthal and Sean Geraghty and with Greg Schernecke and Jodie Valler-Feltham devised a novel path to value creation for clinical-stage biotechnology company Tiziana Life Sciences, orchestrating the company’s jurisdictional migration from the UK to Bermuda and sole listing on NASDAQ.

Dechert was also ranked among the leading firms in Europe in the FT’s new “Innovation Index,” which assesses firms’ innovation, digital maturity, policies towards people, client perceptions, and financial success.

The Financial Times consistently ranks Dechert among the most innovative law firms in the world.

Lawyers and law firms recognized by the FT were honored in a ceremony held at London’s Natural History Museum on October 13.
