Mélanie Thill-Tayara Named Litigator of the Year at Global Competition Review Awards

Dechert LLP’s Paris-based antitrust partner and co-lead of the firm's life sciences practice Mélanie Thill-Tayara was named the "Litigator of the Year" at the Global Competition Review’s GCR Awards 2023.
Ms. Thill-Tayara is well known for her proficiency as a litigator, having handled several landmark cases involving complex antitrust issues in cartels, information exchanges, and abuse of dominance across different industries (tech, consumer goods, financial services, life sciences, public works, etc). Most recently, she secured two major wins before the Paris court of appeal including successfully representing Roche against an unprecedented allegation of abuse of collective dominance with Novartis concerning the off-label use of cancer drug Avastin.
Listed as a leading competition lawyer in France by the GCR 100, The Legal 500 and Chambers 2023, Ms. Thill-Tayara is also recognized as a leading lawyer in Who’s Who Legal's 2022 competition and life sciences guides in France and by Best Lawyers France 2023 in biotechnology and life sciences, as well as competition/antitrust law.
The ceremony for the GCR 13th Annual Awards was held on March 28 in Washington, D.C. Winners were selected based on input from industry experts and peers.
