Dechert Ranked by Bloomberg and Refinitiv as Top Firm for M&A in US, UK and Europe
Dechert LLP was ranked among the top 20 law firms in nine of Bloomberg’s global M&A advisory league tables across the U.S., UK and Europe. These included the “Global Announced Deals (By Volume)” and “Global Announced Deals – Principals (By Volume)” tables, among others. The Bloomberg M&A tables serve as the leading benchmark for M&A advisory rankings, offering comprehensive coverage of top financial and legal advisors across a wide range of deal types, regions, and industry sectors. Dechert was also ranked as a top firm in 10 of Refinitiv’s global M&A league tables. Refinitiv is an American-British global provider of financial market data and infrastructure. Dechert again ranked among the top law firms for M&A across the U.S., UK and Europe, including the “Global Announced”, “Global Principal Advisors Announced” and “Any US and UK Involvement” tables, among others. As the rankings demonstrate, the firm handled a number of key deals in various jurisdictions and key industries. Highlights from the quarter include:
- Infrastructure engineering software company Bentley Systems, Incorporated, in its announced acquisition of EasyPower®, a leading developer of design and analysis software tools, including arc flash solutions, for electrical engineering professionals.
- Cathay Capital, a global investment firm, in connection with the sale of the Cenexi group, a French CDMO specialized in the manufacture of sterile and injectable pharmaceutical products, to the Indian group Gland Pharma, controlled by the Chinese conglomerate Fosun.
- Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A., an international, research-focused biopharmaceuticals group that develops and markets innovative therapeutic solutions in respiratory health, rare diseases, and specialty care, in its definitive agreement to acquire Amryt Pharma Plc in an all-cash transaction valued at US$1.48 billion.
- Court Square Capital Partners in the private equity firm’s strategic capital investment into Five Star Parks & Attractions, a platform that partners with and invests in leading family entertainment centers, instituting positive changes aimed at creating superior entertainment experiences for families.
- Diffusion Pharmaceuticals Inc., biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapies, in connection with a proposed merger with EIP Pharma Inc., a privately held clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing CNS-focused therapeutics to benefit patients with a range of debilitating neurodegenerative diseases.
- Energy Harbor Corp. in its proposed acquisition by Vistra Corp., pursuant to which Energy Harbor will merge with and into a newly-formed subsidiary of Vistra, ultimately combining Energy Harbor's nuclear and retail businesses with Vistra's nuclear and retail businesses and Vistra Zero renewables and storage projects under a newly-formed subsidiary holding company, referred to generally as "Vistra Vision."
- Friedemann Findeis and Klaus Rader as the sole shareholders of FR L'Osteria SE, a leading German and Austrian restaurant brand, on the sale of a majority stake to McWin, a private investment firm specializing in the foodservice and food technology sectors.
- Graham Partners, a private investment firm targeting technology-driven advanced manufacturing companies, in its acquisition of Taoglas Group Holdings Ltd, a trusted provider of antennas, advanced IoT components, and custom design services that helps customers navigate complex RF and wireless systems and brings connectivity solutions to market.
- Havea, a major player in the food supplements industry, in connection with its exclusive negotiations for the acquisition of Biocyte, a French laboratory that is a pioneer in nutricosmetics.
- Horizon Technology Finance Corporation in its definitive agreement with Monroe Capital LLC, for Monroe Capital to acquire Horizon Technology Finance Management LLC, the investment adviser to the Horizon Technology Finance Corporation.
- Quest Diagnostics in a strategic agreement designed to broaden access to quality, innovative laboratory services for the providers and patients of NewYork-Presbyterian primarily in New York as well as the tri-state area and beyond.
- The shareholder of Eximia Engineering GmbH, TAC Holding GmbH, in connection with the acquisition of Eximia Engineering GmbH by a leading European engineering and digital consulting group, Technology & Strategy.
