Dechert Honored for Sultanate of Oman Capital Markets Deal

Dechert LLP’s international capital markets team has been honored for its work on the Sultanate of Oman’s US$701.1 million cash tender offer, which was named “Liability Management Deal of the Year” in GFC Media Group’s Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East Awards 2023. The awards were established to celebrate the most high-profile transactions in the Middle Eastern and Islamic capital markets.
The Dechert team, which was led by partners Patrick Lyons and Jennifer Rees, acted as international counsel to the Sultanate of Oman in its invitation to holders of eight series of Notes in the cash tender offer, which took the form of a modified Dutch auction. The dealer managers on the transactions were Citigroup, Goldman Sachs International and HSBC.
