Law.com International Honors Matthias Kerbusch as Private Equity Rising Star
Matthias Kerbusch, a Luxembourg-based partner in Dechert’s financial services group, has been recognized as a “Private Equity Rising Star” by Law.com International and named among the top 25 private equity lawyers under 40 in the UK and Continental Europe.
The recognition highlights the quality of his client base, the scale, significance and complexity of the work undertaken, and his strong reputation in the market.
Mr. Kerbusch represents international and domestic clients on the formation and restructuring of a wide range of Luxembourg-based investment funds. He is particularly experienced advising on domiciled open and closed-ended alternative investment funds, including SIFs and SICARs, as well as Part II Funds for regulated vehicles and RAIFs and other AIF structures for unregulated Luxembourg structures. He also advises on UCITS structures.
His clients include funds and institutions from diverse industries, including private equity, venture capital, private debt, real estate, banking, and infrastructure. Known for his technical expertise, Mr. Kerbusch regularly drafts and revises key fund documents such as prospectuses and LPAs, while also providing regulatory guidance on fund structuring.
In addition, he is experienced in advising on “end-of-term” restructuring solutions and secondary fund transactions, offering innovative solutions to complex challenges in the investment fund industry.
