City Bar Justice Center Honors Jonathan Kim with 2025 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award

The City Bar Justice Center honored Jonathan Kim, a partner in Dechert’s M&A and private equity practice, with its Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award.

Mr. Kim was named the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project’s most outstanding volunteer of the year for his commitment to the project and its clients, the quality and volume of his legal work, his willingness to take on challenging assignments and leadership on pro bono initiatives at the firm.

Mr. Kim advises financial sponsors, investment firms, sovereign wealth funds and strategic buyers and sellers on complex domestic and cross-border transactions across industries such as technology, health care and financial services. His work has earned recognition from Chambers USA, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000 for strategic insight and client service.

Each year, the City Bar Justice Center provides free civil legal services to approximately 25,000 New Yorkers. Mr. Kim’s contributions have helped further this mission and strengthen Dechert’s pro bono impact.

Honorees were celebrated at the Celebrate Pro Bono Awards ceremony at the New York City Bar Association on October 21 in observance of National Pro Bono Week.
