Profiles in Leadership Journal Recognizes Allison Fumai as a Woman Worth Watching in Leadership

Dechert LLP financial services partner Allison Fumai has been named to Profiles in Leadership Journal’s “Women Worth Watching in Leadership” list for 2025. The annual awards recognize exceptional women leaders who make a meaningful impact in their organizations, industries and communities.

Ms. Fumai is widely regarded as a leading advisor in the investment funds space, with a practice focused on registered investment companies including mutual funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and their investment advisers. She is known for guiding clients through novel exemptive relief and first-of-their-kind products.

A trailblazer in the ETF industry, Ms. Fumai was recently named “North America Investment Funds Lawyer of the Year” by the Legal Benchmarking Group at its Women in Business Law Americas Awards 2025. She has also been honored as “Investment Consultant of the Year” in Bonhill’s Women in Asset Management Awards and described as a “rock star” of the ETF space by The Legal 500 USA. She currently holds a Band 1 ranking for registered funds in Chambers USA.

Beyond her client work, Ms. Fumai is a passionate advocate for women in finance. She serves on Dechert’s global Policy Committee and co-founded Cornell Law School’s first alumnae network. Her pro bono efforts include leadership roles with Women in ETFs and contributions to the New York City Family Court Volunteer Attorney Program.
