Dechert Only Firm Ranked as “Elite” Across all Chambers Associate Survey Categories for Multiple Years
For the third time in five years, Dechert has earned an “elite” designation from Chambers Associate across all seven of its junior associate survey categories. Based on a survey of thousands of associates at the country’s top law firms, Dechert was ranked among “the elite” in each of the survey’s areas of focus: overall satisfaction, career development, benefits and quality of life, pro bono, culture, AI integration and autonomy. The firm was also ranked elite in the “most satisfied mid to senior associates” category.
Dechert is one of only four firms in this year’s survey to reach elite status in each of these categories. The firm also holds the distinction of being the sole AmLaw 100 firm to achieve across-the-board elite status in multiple surveys over the last five years; while no other AmLaw 100 firm has achieved this “elite” sweep more than once, Dechert has done so three times, in 2022, 2023 and 2026.
This track record takes on added significance alongside a new Chambers Associates report – "AI is Everywhere, Associate Confidence Isn't" – which surveyed more than 8,000 associates at 82 of the country's top law firms over five months. Significantly, the report found that firms leading on AI adoption were also more likely to score highly on work-life balance, training, and overall associate experience. Our Chambers Associate results are a direct reflection of that connection.
"Our recognition as Elite in AI integration – as well as the rest of this year’s categories – reflects our commitment to engaging associates on the topics that are central both to their careers and the future of the law,” says Alison Bernard, Dechert's chief talent and human resources officer. "Our ongoing AI training series and broader innovation curriculum demonstrate our investment not just in technology, but in the culture and training that empowers associates to explore, learn and develop critical new skills."
In another example of Dechert’s commitment to its people, this month the firm will welcomes 50 mid-level associates to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School for an intensive four-day business education program, giving associates the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s top business school professors. One week later, we welcome our 2026 class of summer associates, 81 talented law school students who will spend the summer at U.S. Dechert offices working on client and pro bono matters, testing AI tools and much more.
