#BreakTheBias: A Conversation With I. Stephanie Boyce

Please join Dechert’s Global Women’s Initiative (GWI) and the London Inclusion and Diversity Committee (IDC) for an evening in conversation with I. Stephanie Boyce, to celebrate International Women’s Day and its theme for 2022: #BreakTheBias.

Stephanie made history in March 2021 when she was elected the 177th President of the Law Society of England and Wales, becoming the sixth woman, first black office holder, first person of colour and just the second in-house solicitor in almost 50 years to hold that position. She has stated that it is her mission “to leave the profession more diverse and inclusive” than it was when she entered.

Stephanie made the Power List 100 Most Influential Black People in the UK in 2021 and 2022 and has been shortlisted for the 2022 Burberry British Diversity Awards-Inspirational Role Model of the Year. She was recently appointed to the National Preparedness Commission and the HM Treasury and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) commissioned independent taskforce to boost socio-economic diversity at senior levels in UK financial and professional services. Stephanie is also a member of Thomson Reuters Transforming Women’s Leadership in the Law Advisory Board.
