Dechert Advises Haufe on Sale to Stemas

Dechert LLP advised the community of heirs of Dieter Haufe, the founder of Germany-based Haufe GmbH & Co. KG, on the sale of 100% of its shares to the German industrial holding Stemas AG, headquartered in Munich.

Usingen and Beierfeld-based Haufe produces high and low frequency toroidal transformer components, as well as high-precision sheet metal work and laser technology. Haufe joins Stemas' portfolio company Weiß Elektrotechnik GmbH and a group of companies which in 2015 together reached EUR 115 million turnover with 800 employees. Financial details were not disclosed.

The Dechert team advising Haufe was led by Dr. Markus J. Friedl (Corporate) and Dr. Martin Haisch (Tax), assisted by associate Gottfried Graf von Bassewitz (Corporate), all based in Frankfurt. Stemas was advised by GCI Management Consulting.
