Dechert Recruits Alison Nina Bernard as Chief Talent Officer & Satra Sampson-Arokium as Director of Diversity and Inclusion
NEW YORK - Dechert LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today the arrival of Alison Nina Bernard as the Firm’s Chief Talent Officer and Satra Sampson-Arokium as the Firm’s Director of Diversity and Inclusion. Bernard will oversee all aspects of the Firm’s attorney recruiting, professional development, and diversity and inclusion programs. Sampson-Arokium will work closely with Bernard to serve globally as an advocate for diversity, inclusion and equity.

Bernard has over seventeen years of experience working in law firms. She was recruited from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP where she held various roles over the last eleven years, including Director of Corporate Practice and Director of the Office of Attorney Development. Bernard also worked at Goodwin Procter and practiced law in the Business and Technology Group of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. Bernard is a graduate of New York University School of Law (J.D.) and Northwestern University (B.A.).

Sampson-Arokium previously served as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP where she was responsible for designing, developing and implementing leading-edge diversity and inclusion strategic initiatives. Prior to Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, Sampson-Arokium spent over a decade at Deloitte in various roles including Chief of Staff for Global Enterprise Risk Services and then as Senior Consultant for Global Diversity.
Sampson-Arokium is a graduate of State University of New York at Albany (B.A.) and Marist College (M.P.A.)
