William J. Tuttle Named Among Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 by National LGBT Bar Association
Dechert LLP partner William J. Tuttle has been named among the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 for 2017 by the National LGBT Bar Association, an affiliate of the American Bar Association. The award recognizes outstanding lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender lawyers under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality. The National LGBT Bar Association is the nation’s largest organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and allied legal professionals.
Tuttle focuses his practice on capital markets and general corporate matters, including the representation of issuers and investment banks in public and private securities transactions and companies in their formation and strategic mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his professional practice, Tuttle has co-led the firm’s global LGBT affinity group and served on the firm’s diversity committee, helping promote a number of firm-wide initiatives included in Dechert’s strategic plan of diversity and inclusion. The mission of the group is to support LGBT lawyers at Dechert, provide them with a forum to discuss issues of concern, and help them to build their careers and become better lawyers. Tuttle also maintains an active pro bono practice, aimed at protecting and supporting LGBT rights.

Winners will be honored at the National Bar Association’s Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair in San Francisco on August 3.
