Dechert LLP litigation partner Vincent H. Cohen, Jr., has been elected to the Washington Bar Association’s Board of Governors for 2017-2018. The Washington Bar Association held its annual meeting at the Historic Courthouse, District of Columbia Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, June 1.
Cohen specializes in high-stakes litigation on behalf of individuals and corporations. As an experienced trial lawyer and investigator, he represents clients in sensitive government and internal investigations, government enforcement matters, and complex civil and criminal litigation on a domestic and international scale. Cohen is also the former acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
The Washington Bar Association is dedicated to the principle of Equal Justice Under Law and serves as an advocate for African-American lawyers and the African-American community. It is one of the largest affiliates of the National Bar Association. Over the years, its members have contributed significantly to the diversification of the local and federal benches as well as to the legal fabric and fiber of the Washington, D.C. community.
