Geneva Campbell Brown and Amanda Reed Honored with Public Service Awards by Philadelphia Bar Association

The Philadelphia Bar Association Large Firm Management Committee has recognized Dechert LLP associates Geneva Campbell Brown and Amanda Reed with its Public Service Award, which is presented to two associates at Philadelphia law firms who have been practicing law for five years or less. The awards honor young lawyers who have made a difference in Philadelphia through extraordinary pro bono representation or public service to individuals or entities that address the challenges faced by communities of need in the City of Philadelphia.

Brown, a corporate associate, and Reed, a tax associate, both maintain an active pro bono practice. Recognizing the legal needs of the poor in Philadelphia, they established the Community Lawyering Clinics practice group at Dechert in June 2016, through which attorneys participate in legal clinics related to medical services, custody, homelessness, public benefits and elder care in partnership with local legal services organizations.

Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony on July 11 in Philadelphia.
