Distinguished Tax Partner Joins Dechert in Washington

Washington, D.C. – Dechert LLP has added prominent partner Will Cejudo to the ranks of its international and domestic tax group. Based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, Cejudo further bolsters Dechert’s leading global tax practice. 

Cejudo has extensive experience advising on tax matters relating to structured finance transactions, including distressed asset funds, mortgage securitizations and asset-backed securitizations, as well as the taxation of investment vehicles, such as real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMIC), real estate investment trusts (REITs) and offshore funds. He represents issuers, underwriters and investors.

Earlier in his career, Cejudo worked in the Financial Institutions and Products Division of the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he addressed an array of financial products, as well as tax exempt and taxable financing matters. He earned his LL.M from Georgetown University, his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and his B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
